I loved my study abroad experience! Everyone's time in the program was unique, but a great part of the program was being flatmates with other study abroad students, so I could more eaily make friends with people in the same situation as I was.
I really enjoyed exploring different places in England and having easy access to oher countries like Denmark, The Netherlands, Portugal, and Switzerland. The social life here is so varied and amazing, so take advantage of that. And join clubs! Some of my friends didn't, and they didn't make many good friends from Britain like I did (isn't the point of being abroad immersing yourself in the culture and meeting people?).
I went out and did a lot, but there were days that I relaxed in my room. It's ok to do that, but take advantage of the time you have here like I did before it's over. I went on hikes when I was bored, I learned how to play chess, read books and went to the library, and wrote poems.
Find fun things to do because you have all the time in the world.
