Ghana 🇬🇭 Eastern Region (Atlas Volunteers

Volunteering in Ghana in April 2025 was an experience I will never forget. I arrived thinking I would be there to help others, but I ended up learning just as much myself. The experience taught me a lot about community, patience, and the quiet strength people show in their everyday lives. The children were full of energy, curious, and often very honest in a funny way. Some days were easy and enjoyable, while other days were more challenging, especially when there were limited resources and the children found it hard to concentrate. We used simple materials like paper, chalk, and games that relied on imagination. This showed me that learning does not depend on expensive equipment. When a child finally understood something they had struggled with, the happiness was shared by everyone.
