A Journey That Changed My Life Forever — My TEFL Level 5 Experience

I am incredibly thankful for completing the TEFL Academy Level 5 course — a journey that truly changed my life forever.

The past 10 months were not easy. I faced personal hardships, relocated to a new city, and began my TEFL studies during one of the most difficult seasons of my life. Starting the course felt overwhelming at times, and I am deeply grateful to The TEFL Academy for granting me an extension during my personal challenges. That support made a meaningful difference.

When I first enrolled, I was in a very low place emotionally, but the Level 5 course gave me something I desperately needed — purpose. There were long days, sleepless nights, and moments where I questioned why I was pushing myself so hard. I sacrificed social time and comfort, and more than once I felt like giving up. But I didn’t.

I kept reminding myself why I started: my passion for different cultures, my love for working with young learners, and my belief in the next generation that will shape our world. That purpose kept me focused and moving forward.

To anyone who feels like quitting — remember why you started in the first place. TEFL opens doors to endless opportunities and personal growth. Today, I am proud, grateful, and excited to begin my journey as an English teacher, helping others learn and connect across cultures.
