As a finance graduate from Copenhagen Business School, I wanted to understand Asia's financial markets. GAC placed me with a venture capital firm in Shanghai's Jing'an district. I analyzed startup pitches, helped with due diligence, and even sat in on investment committee meetings. My mentor taught me how Chinese VCs think differently from European ones – invaluable knowledge. The team handled my visa, found me a great apartment, and checked in weekly. Three months later, I landed a job in international finance back in Denmark. My China experience was the main topic in every interview. we had some cultural activities too.
