An Experience I’ll Never Forget ❤️

I had an amazing experience volunteering through Maximo in the childcare placement program. I’m a teacher from Ohio in the United States, and this experience gave me such a meaningful opportunity to see what it’s like to work in an after-school program in Guatemala.

Everyone in this community has been so kind and welcoming from the moment I arrived. I met so many incredible people and learned so much through this experience. It was inspiring to see the dedication and care that goes into supporting children in the community.

One thing I really loved was how easy Maximo made it to explore and experience Guatemala outside of volunteering. There were always excursions and activities available, making it simple to try new things and make the most of my time here.

I’m so grateful for everything I experienced and would highly recommend this program to anyone interested in volunteering abroad and immersing themselves in the local culture.
