Check Out Maximo Nivel's Awesome TEFL Program in Cusco, Peru

I just completed Maximo Nivel's Hybrid TEFL program in Cusco, Peru, and what an awesome experience it was! After teaching English at a Canadian college for over 27 years, I decided I'd like a TEFL course to support me in volunteer teaching in retirement. I did much of the academic portion of the program at home, and then completed the practical teaching portion in Cusco. It was an all around superb experience for the following reasons. First, it was a small group of 5 students, so we had time to get to know and support each other. Every day we worked closely together, completing assignments, observing classes and practicing the ESL techniques with each other. Our instructor, Karen Wilke was as good as you can get in terms of sense of humour, support, teaching expertise and creativity. She consistently displayed all the characteristics of an excellent mentor. The support staff at Maximo were top-notch as well. They were always there to answer questions, provide info and to check up on as daily as to whether we were happy with everything. At the end of the course we had a small grad party followed by a hilarious karaoke outing. I can't say enough my awesome experience with Maximo Nivel.
