Thanks That's Mandarin Team!

We would like to thank That's Mandarin teachers and staff for making their Chinese Summer Camp such a great experience for my daughter. She is 7 and attended That's Mandarin morning summer camp for 4 weeks in 2014. Even though she's half Chinese by ethnicity, she grew up in an English-and German-speaking environment.

As a result she came to the program with extremely little knowledge of the Chinese language. By the time she left the camp four weeks later, she was able to understand basic Chinese used in daily life and routines. For example, she is able to understnad a conversation about what she learnt at school or what she would like to eat. Not only is she able to understand significantly more spoken Chinese, she is even able to answer some questions and requests in Chinese. My daughter is by nature more reserved and shy in unfamiliar situations. Therefore, it makes us very happy to see that she has been encouraged and given the confidence to also speak Chinese herself.

In addition, the school environment was very comfortable and welcoming. The entire teaching staff was also polite and friendly at all times. If condition permits, we would be happy to bring our daughter and younger son to the same camp next summer!
