A Great Program to Prepare You for the REAL world of ESL Teaching

I didn´t really consider taking the classes anywhere but Maximo because the staff here was just great from the moment that I walked through the door. The online reviews and personal recommendations finally sold it for me. The course here at Maximo really prepares you to teach ESL in the real world. After your week of practical teaching in the final week you feel totally prepared to jump into a classroom and teach. Teaching REAL clients using the TEFL methods really gave me confidence.
I was already living in Guatemala when I decided to take a TEFL course, so I can´t tell you about the accommodations. The others in my class were generally happy with them though and Maximo works hard to resolve any issues that may arise. Antigua is a great place to relax and to take classes. You will NEVER lack for something to do on the weekends.
Audra is absolutely one of the BEST instructors I have ever had. She managed to make all aspects of the TEFL course fun and interesting (yes, even the grammar days). She will be in Antigua for a while longer so if you want to take TEFL with an awesome teacher, don´t wait. Or go to Maximo in Costa Rica. Maximo is a great organization to study with so whoever takes over here in Antigua will be great as well.
