Amazing experience

as a nursing student and first time solo traveller, I was both excited and nervous to be volunteering in Uganda. I learned so much about the culture by living in the community and with full time staff assistance. I also learned a lot about health care and sanitation issues from the nurses who work at the clinic every day. My favorite memory, although there are many would be when I was able to assist in the delivery of a baby in the maternity wing. It is such a different experience in Uganda then it is at home and I am so grateful to have been a part of it.
