About Program

Calling all animal lovers and future vets! This program is a unique opportunity to spend 14 days in Costa Rica shadowing veterinarians and getting hands-on experience at a small dog and cat rescue center. Learn more about Costa Rica's domestic and wild animal populations and the challenges they face from local experts--as one of the most biodiverse countries in the world, there is no better location from which to explore the natural habitat of a wide variety of flora and fauna. Spend time with your host community and get a dose of adventure through a jungle zipline, lush hikes to towering waterfalls and other active pursuits.
