About Program
The Oxford Tradition is a 4-week academic program for students in grades 10-12 held at Pembroke College, in the University of Oxford. Students choose a Major and a Minor from about thirty courses. Choices include Medical Science, Law and Society, Engineering, Psychology, Business, and Studio Art. Students are taught in small, seminar-style classes by a faculty made up of university professors, Rhodes and Marshall Scholars, and creative professionals. The classes are experiential, project-based, and designed to use Oxford as a living classroom. They are a complement to school, not an extension of school. Outside class, students have access to an array of exciting activities. These include all sorts of intellectual enrichment, cultural immersion, opportunities to hear eminent guest speakers, to attend UK university fairs, to go on field trips - including London - and to participate in sporting events.
