About Program

Are you a high school student who has never travelled, but dreams of going abroad?

The Wandering Scholar is in search of pitches from young people! If selected, your story - whether it be about your wanderlust and what you'd like to learn in future travels, or a lesson or memory you have from your time abroad - will be turned into either a part of the miniseries of the "Why We Wander" podcast, a blog feature, or video essay, with us as your virtual guide. This program is free and every pitch is automatically entered into a competition for a $500 grant towards a qualified international education experience of your choosing, awarded to the student whose project best represents the mission of The Wandering Scholar.
