About Program
Aloha ‘Aina (Hawaiian for “Love of Land”) explores service work on Maui and Kauai. Hawaiian culture is intimately connected to the native flora of the islands. On Maui, work with a grassroots land trust organization whose mission is to stabilize, protect, and restore Hawaiian cultural resources. On Kauai, engage in a variety of vital conservation and restoration projects in coordination with a local environmental NGO. Surf Lahaina and Hanalei, hike the Na Pali coast, sea kayak to hidden waterfalls, and snorkel and paddle-board along Kauai. Explore remote coastline by boat, viewing and learning about local marine life, and be immersed in traditional Hawaiian culture.
