Students should budget an additional €1500-2000 depending on their spending habits for food in Brno (breakfast, lunch, dinner), weekend trips (lunch and dinner) and fun "optional" activities in Brno, Prague, Vienna, and Budapest (the underground labyrinth in Brno, Budapest baths, bars, etc.) in addition to the cost of accommodation.

About Program

Masaryk University, in collaboration with CEITEC - one of the strongest research institutions in Central Europe, stands apart from other universities as a place to learn. Drawing on these achievements and also enhancing its dynamic place, it opens up its research facilities to undergraduate or graduate foreign students for an intensive summer research internship.

Incoming students will be required to work at least 250 hours (8 hours a day, 4 days a week, 8 weeks in total) on a specific project assigned and supervised by local faculty members.

ABOUT THE PROJECTS
Students who are interested to attend the course, should email at summer@czs.muni.cz and ask for the list of projects. Projects include topics such as Toxicology, Microbiology, Ecology, Plant Biology, Nano materials, and Anthropology.

The Teiresias Centre at Masaryk University provides neurodivergent support. Its team fosters an inclusive environment for all and provides a welcoming, student-centered approach. Students should reach out to the Centre for International Cooperation and the Teiresias Centre prior to application to discuss what paperwork may be required to provide modification to their studies such as extra time on tests, quiet places for study, etc.

Accessibility Support

The Teiresias Centre at Masaryk University provides support for students and teachers who require accessibility support. The centre supports students in the areas of learning differences, physical support such as wheelchair accessibility, visual impairments, psychological concerns, deafness and hearing loss, and chronic diseases.
