About Program

Your main responsibility will be ensuring that patients seen during Tandana's Health Care Volunteer Vacations receive any follow-up care they require. You will guide them step-by-step through Ecuador's public health system, working with local medical professionals. Along the way. You will also help prepare for and participate in Health Care Volunteer Vacations. Additionally, depending on your availability and interests as well as Tandana's needs, you may participate in other projects such as facilitating a class for the elderly to promote brain development and activity, assisting a local doctor or a midwife, or giving health talks at local schools. Finally, you will serve as a cultural ambassador and represent Tandana in a positive manner at all times. In return you will have a chance to immerse yourself in the rich culture of highland Ecuador and explore the region's breathtaking natural wonders.
