About Program

In this internship, your primary responsibility will be to provide continuity and excellence in the curriculum and teaching for Tandana's Vacation Courses in Quichinche, Ecuador. You will design and teach an effective curriculum for one level of ESL classes, along with other classes on a variety of subjects for secondary school students. You will teach classes five days a week in the mornings for five weeks in July and August. You will also be responsible for planning and recording what you teach in a way that is easy for future interns and volunteers to teach those classes. Finally, you will serve as a cultural ambassador and represent Tandana in a positive manner at all times. In return you will be able to immerse yourself in the rich culture of highland Ecuador, enjoy the hospitality of new friends and see the region's breathtaking scenery.
