About Program

Self-motivated and enthusiastic volunteer with a passion for teaching English and living by the beach on the Pacific Coast of Guatemala!

La Choza Chula has been creating positive change and opportunities for young people and women in the surf community of El Paredón, Guatemala since 2012. Due to the growing tourism industry in the village, the ability to speak and understand English is becoming increasingly more important for the success of local business owners, but also the young population of the village – El Paredón’s future.

The Education Intern will play an important role in our small team: they will be responsible for teaching English in the local Primary and Secondary School and the wider community, as well as supporting our team in delivering a range of educational activities through the local Buena Vista Library, built and run by La Choza Chula.
