Highlights: So far, the highlight of my trip has been taking the opportunity to travel during school holidays or breaks. Over Christmas break, I visited Chiang Mai and had an amazing time. Short weekend trips are also fun, too.
Morning: My mornings consist of waking up around 6:45, scrambling to get ready to leave for work by 7:15, and hopping on the 20-minute scooter ride to be at work by 7:45. Morning assembly starts around 8:00, where all the teachers and students gather for announcements, the Thai national anthem, and meditation. This is over around 8:15 and then classes begin for the day.
Afternoon: A typical afternoon consists of teaching classes, grading homework, and lesson planning. School gets out at 4:30, or 4:50 if you teach extra lessons, which makes for quite a long work day.
Evening: After school, I like to take a bit to relax and de-stress from the day, then go grab dinner with friends. Sometimes I go to the beach or the movie theater. Week days are quite long and don't leave a lot of time for extracurricular!
