What is your favorite travel memory?
My favorite travel memory would be flying to Singapore to visit my father during my summer break. Singapore is extremely different from the environment that I was used to back home in the UK. I enjoy taking in new cultures and food during my travels anywhere. My favorite dishes in Singapore are chicken rice, curry crab, and oddly, the pot noodles.
How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?
I’ve grown a lot since joining AIP. I used to be very introverted, never really interacting with other people. However, after joining AIP, I’ve started going out and spending time outside work with my co-workers. Sometimes we do group workouts together, and from that, I’ve been able to lose loads of weight, which has helped a lot with my own confidence.
AIP commits to developing your individual growth and development, and promotes a healthy lifestyle for their members. Not only for physical, but also our mental wellbeing. I’ve really just learned to enjoy life and what I do.
What is the best story you've heard from a return student?
One of my applicants came back to the program with the desire to gain more work experience and to learn the local language. He told me that his pronunciation wasn't great, and he was trying to say "bow" but came out sounding like a buffalo. This is one of the funniest stories, and I can relate to this situation.
If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?
I think I would most likely choose to apply for the Hong Kong program. Our Hong Kong program offers a number of really cool features, including an airport pick up with Tesla! Other than that, I’m pretty interested in IT work, so if I were to sign up for the program, I would sign up for IT in HK. Especially because I know our partner companies in HK that work in IT are all great companies that I would definitely consider working with if I were not already in AIP.
What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?
Other than going beyond our customers’ expectations with our great services, we really care about each other as one team and one unit. We work together not only as co-workers but also as family.
I remember my first couple of weeks in the office, being pretty introverted and awkward. Everyone made sure to help me feel comfortable in my new job, and were very welcoming during my first few weeks. I feel proud to be a part of this team, and I am happy that I am now a part of a family.
What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?
Passion, perseverance, and a common goal. Everyone in the team loves what they do, and we all enjoy our time working. We are passionate about our job. We persevere through issues and failures together. Even if one of us messes up, we work together to make sure the outcome is nothing other than success! Our common goal is to make sure our top quality services are above all those of our competitors, and to see the company succeed and grow.
