Fabiana is an open minded person who loves to travel and meet new people and places. She loves to be able to help people and to feel needed.

What is your favorite travel memory?

My favourite travel memory is when I left Brazil for the first time and went to Boston for an Au Pair program. Being able to be out of my comfort zone and facing the world on my own for the first time made me feel so good and to see the World in a total different way. It was the biggest and best experience of my life.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

Yes, dealing with students dreams of going abroad and helping them to achieve their goals did help me grown as a person and as a professional as I was once in their position and today I am here, working abroad. As English is not my first language, it did improve a lot since I started working here and feel much more comfortable with it now.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

One of my favourite stories is from our former student named Susanna House. At 18 years old, Susanna completed her TEFL course and moved to Kaolack, Senegal where she spent her year teaching English with the charity Project Trust. Susanna used her gap year to helped students learn English and I found it very inspiring.

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I would join our TEFL internship programme in Vietnam. There is no fee to join the programme and it has fantastic benefits! It's also open to non-degree holders, which is great for recent TEFL qualified teachers without a degree. Vietnam is such a beautiful place and I would love to get to know it and teach there.

What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?

We are the world's only TEFL course provider that has received official recognition from government regulated awarding bodies both in the US and the UK. I am always proud of the team as we are a very unified team looking to always improve our services quality and it is a very friendly and easy work environment.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

At The TEFL Academy, we care about each student and don't treat them as a "new sale", but value their dreams and help them to achieve it in the best way we can. Our caring attitude with our colleagues reflects towards the students we support, by helping us to be giving the best service possible to every single one of them.
