My favorite memory comes from Galapagos, where I have witnessed that humans are able to coexist and protect wildlife. My experience in Fiji started with a shark conservation project that brought me to my current job within Indo Ocen Project in Indonesia. I have experienced a proper life village with bucket showers :)

What is your favorite travel memory?
How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?
Yes. I have gained professional diving knowledge. Also understanding group dynamics within the diving industry and politics. How to encourage people positively, and how to overcome their fear of current and the mental pressure. I have become a better listener. Able to deal with various personality types and tailor training approach.
What is the best story you've heard from a return student?
We have a student from Italy who we had to send home when COVID hit the world and after 2 years she came back to complete her program with us. We have also a fun diver in our diver shop who has done a number of certifications and then returned to us to complete divemaster & marine conservation training.
If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?
Research program. Since I have completed my program as a first intern of the Indo Ocean Project the program was still in the basic program stage. On this day our current interns have the opportunity to experience our mangrove project, survey dive program, BRUV, coral watching, coral restoration, and many more. I would like to experience their programs as a student.
What makes your company unique? When were you especially proud of your team?
We are raising professional divers and marine conservationists. We are able to change people's life, showing them different directions and reaching personal goals. Our main uniqueness comes through our passion. All staff who work for Indo Ocean Project are passionate about their job. Our job is not only a job but a lifestyle.
What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?
Translate company value through the staff to our students, amazing communication skills, teamwork, and passion for what we do. Our passion comes through with amazing teamwork. We are not only coworkers but also amazing friends. Our positive vibe and passion translate in our job and students feel it too
