About Go Overseas
As a community-centered resource for programs abroad, verified alumni reviews, travel articles, and scholarships, Go Overseas aims to connect our community with the most reliable information about meaningful travel. From studying abroad in Spain to volunteering with orangutans in Indonesia, landing a job teaching English online to interning remotely for an international company, our site has helped millions of people find and plan transformational global experiences.

As a business, we offer digital and event-based marketing products to international education program providers, universities, and government agencies with an overarching goal to help more people pursue meaningful travel!

About You & the Role

  • Do you believe that meaningful travel has a transformative power to foster a more empathetic, purpose-driven, and cooperative society?
  • Are you the type of person who can’t stop talking about how your experience abroad changed your perspective on life and shaped the person you are today?
  • Do you have a genuine curiosity for learning about people from different cultures and love the thought of working in a role that focuses on designing creative ways for bringing them together?
  • Do you have a knack for telling compelling stories and creating content that makes others as excited about travel as you are?
  • Would your dream job be to help others access the information, inspiration, and confidence to pursue global experiences while working collaboratively with a small team that wants to support your growth?

If so, you might just be our newest Go Overseas team member!

We’re hiring a dynamic, entrepreneurial Community Manager to help support, engage, and grow our online community. While millions of people each year use Go Overseas to discover opportunities and information about meaningful experiences abroad, we’re always aiming to engage and grow our audience. That’s why we’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic GO-Getter to help more prospective travelers access the world with greater confidence.

In order to do this, you’ll work with your team to create dynamic marketing content and implement community engagement strategies that bring new prospective travelers to the site and together in real life at in-person events, encourage return visits, and measurably grow brand awareness. Since you’ll be the main community-focused face of Go Overseas and point of contact for our community of millions of people, you’ll need to be comfortable and excited about opportunities for public speaking, video content creation, fielding press inquiries, and hosting virtual or in-person events.

As an email & social media expert, you’ll love keeping up with relevant digital and pop culture trends to relate with our community members, mostly native English-speaking Gen Z & Millennial travelers, and equally as interested in understanding the strategy and analytical reporting of engagement metrics. You’ll be excited to employ an educational and empathetic written and verbal communication style to help educate, inspire, and empower community members to pursue meaningful travel using Go Overseas resources.
