Can’t say enough good things

I’ve been to 6-7 language schools in 5 different countries for 3 different languages, so TRUST me when I say that VOS is easily the best one I have been to. They are some of the most awesome, nice, and professionally flexible people I met.

They offer group classes and private classes (both in-person and online). I did both. The group classes are great and usually no more than 6 people. It’s great to be in a class with people around your level and the teaching content are not just boring grammar drills.

The teachers gave us things like short stories, short films/movies, and poems in spanish that related with the grammar we were being taught. One of my favourite things was when the group would have a deep class discussions completely in Spanish, surrounding a certain topic the teacher brought in for the day (example: travel, love, mental health, meaning of family, etc.)

Private classes are great too and completely customisable. The standard is 2 hours and you can choose any time of the day to have them, just for your convenience. This is great when you have a specific problem when learning Spanish that you want to work through, that you maybe wouldn’t receive the same amount of attention on if you were to take group classes.

One of the best parts of my VOS experience was the weekly event they would hold. Sometimes we would go out for pizza, other times we would have an asado at the private home of the owners (which doubles as their Palermo school location), and sometimes we would just make some good food there. A highlight was the wine tasting potluck we had.

Everyone is super easy going and teachers are great. I’ve had almost every teacher at VOS at one point. Each teacher has a certain style with the content they teach, which you come to appreciate. They go at your own pace, even in group classes. You never feel rushed. The administration is also great and super patient, but attentive.

Additionally, I’ve met students from all walks of life, with an age range from 19 to 75, and every single one had a good things to say about VOS.

In short, with VOS, you feel like you’re part of a family.

I was saddened to hear in passing that they are having trouble getting new students, so I wanted to do my part and share my experience. Especially here, where there are somehow no reviews for them. Choose VOS!

What would you improve about this program?
VOS has a small stack of board games and card games, but we sadly didn’t use them that often. It would be cool to have more classes based on these!
