About Program
The Herzog Academic College English Department will help you find your personal path and career. The aim of the department is to train students in the teaching profession in English, emphasizing the intersection of Jewish culture with Western culture, in accordance with the unique nature of Herzog College.
Students here will specialize in the fields of educational linguistics, English literature, and English teaching methods in all its aspects. Graduates will be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English at an academic level as a basic condition for their success in their studies towards a teaching certificate.
As part of their studies in educational linguistics, students will become acquainted with the foundations and achievements of theoretical linguistics and applied linguistics. A great emphasis will be put on applying their knowledge of their work with students as English teachers in the education system in Israel.
