Learn Spanish in Salamanca at Enforex

If you want your child to have a genuine Spanish immersion experience—and not just a place to stay while you have free time—do not choose this camp. It functions primarily as an environment for native Spanish speakers to practice English with paying international children. Even the teachers spoke heavy English during classes. I had to fight to move my daughter to a higher level to avoid lessons taught in English, which camp staff only accommodated after the first week despite me voicing concerns on the morning of the second day.

While I understand this is an international camp with English-speaking attendees, it is the furthest thing from immersive Spanish. Before booking, I explicitly inquired about the immersion level and English usage. I was assured it was 100% Spanish inside and outside the classroom with lessons carefully adapted to each child. This is completely inaccurate. On Instagram, Enforex advertises to native Spanish families that the camp is 80% international students for their children to practice English. Yet, they advertised to me that the camp was 60% Spanish natives. This blatant contradiction in their marketing reveals the true nature of the program.
Management has completely ignored the email I sent after the first week detailing my numerous concerns. Communication between staff and parents is incredibly poor. Supervision is lacking; my 11-year-old was permitted to go into other student’s rooms unmonitored during free time. Furthermore, on numerous days free time consisted of watching YouTube videos in English. My children confirmed that outside of classroom hours, the camp activities were conducted almost entirely in English as with interactions between students.

We flew to Spain to increase our children's command of the language. My kids are not beginners, and they gained virtually nothing from this experience. I did not pay for my children to serve as conversational English practice for native Spaniards. Enforex has refused to acknowledge or address these issues. I cannot recommend a company that prioritizes misleading marketing over honesty, integrity, and basic customer service.

I am currently enrolled in a summer intensive course at Enforex, Salamanca and have been having an amazing experience! I wanted to brush up on what Spanish I had learned in school and I have already learned way more than I thought I would. The 'profesores' are very approachable, patient, and diligent. I really like that we solely speak Spanish in class because I feel I am really being immersed in the language. However, while I am learning a lot, I will say that for a complete beginner even the first level may be difficult because they do not always go over the fundamentals.

There are people young and old that come from all over the world to take classes here. It is amazing to be in a room of people that I normally would not have a language in common with and be able to communicate through Spanish. And it makes me so happy to be able to speak Spanish to people in the town and make friends here.

I did not participate in the housing they provide, so I cannot speak to it. But I would recommend both Enforex and Salamanca for anyone wanting to learn more Spanish, meet great people, and experience a bit of the Spanish culture.
