About Program

Interested in the Spanish language, culture and nature? Enjoy your Spanish course at OnSpain School (which is 5 minutes away from the beach!!) with (free) activities, and excursions to the most beautiful places in Spain. OnSpain School offers people from all over the world Spanish courses on different levels and in a creative way. To give it a more Spanish feeling, OnSpain School also gives students the possibility to stay in a host-family so that they practice their Spanish even more!

Since there is around 300 days of sun in Malaga and the school is around the corner of the beach, many activities take place at the beach. However, since we love the Spanish culture, food, history and nature, these activities also take place in the city center and around Malaga itself!

Our goal is to give students their time of their lives and teach them the beauty of the Spanish language. You can find this back in the way the teachers teach. Passionate and enthusiastic!

Ich war insgesamt 3 Monate hier und es war echt toll. OnSpain hat sich um alles gekümmert und ich kam nach dem 2 Wochen Sprachkurs direkt in meine Firma. Ein Hotel direkt am Strand. Am Anfang hatte ich es etwas schwer mit der Sprache, aber mit der Zeit wird das immer besser. Meine Gastfamilie war auch voll nett. Sie hatten einen Sohn in meinem ALter und wir waren oft unterwegs zusammen. Hab echt viel gelernt hier und mein Spanisch is viel viel besser geworden. OnSpain ist klein und daher super familiär. Immer offen für deine Fragen und bei allen Aktivitäten (Ausflüge, Salsa, Paella kochen) kann man teilnehmen und Leute kennenlernen. Ich kanns nur jedem empfehlen. Ne unvergessliche Erfahrung!

What would you improve about this program?
Ich würde mir mehr interaktion zwischen den Praktikanten wünschen und vielleicht ein eigenes Projekt während der Zeit, dass man betreut. Sonst alles TOP!

Una bellissima esperienza nella calda Malaga

Lo scorso anno ho avuto la possibilità di frequentare un corso intensivo di tre settimane presso la scuola Onspain di Malaga. Uso spesso lo spagnolo nel mio lavoro, grazie ai rapporti che la mia azienda ha con l'Argentina, e la mia insicurezza nel parlare la lingua mi limitava.
In principio non è stata facile come scelta: sacrificare le mie vacanze estive, maturate in tutto un duro anno di lavoro, per un corso di lingua?
Può sembrare stupido ma sono state le vacanze più belle della mia vita! Vivere in una città per tre settimane ti permette di non sentirti un semplice turista! Ho potuto girare tutti i bar di tapas di Malaga, visitare Siviglia e Granada (meravigliose), stringere amicizie (il prossimo mese andrò a trovare la mia super amica giapponese Kaori che vive a Berlino), mangiare pesce una volta la settimana, vedere il mare ogni mattina dalla mia finestra e come se non bastasse imparare lo spagnolo!
Immergersi nella cultura spagnola è importante per apprendere al meglio la lingua e questo corso ha decisamente ha migliorato i miei contatti con i colleghi argentini. Lo consiglio a tutti!

Lessons and tours for Finnish perspectiv

All workers are very talented and they know what they do ! Tours and lessons were very nice and i learn so much ! And everybodeys are always so happy and good mood ! :) And in school you can meet very much different people all over the word. Very good experience

OnSpain, a very good experience!

I have been here for four weeks and i´m really happy about it!
I spent my time really useful, at first i took part of a spanish course which improved my spanish and then i did an internship in the OnSpain school.
I had done marketing stuff before and took part in different activities as well.
It was a very good experience and an advanture too.
The people were really friendly and helpful.
I can really recommend it for everyone!

Maria Vicente has a degree in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Malaga and has a Senior Technical (HND) in Audiovisual and Entertainment. From an early age she has been working in the wide world of communication. Her extensive repertoire includes - assisting the marketing departments of several companies and organizing fashion shows, to freelance directing for corporate videos, to presenting a television program.

What is your favorite travel memory?

I can’t choose just one favorite traveling experience. I enjoy every culture and every person that I have known from different countries. But as an answer I can say that visiting a country where you have a friend or a family member helps you discovering the best places.

What about the future of the industry? How do you think study abroad and international education will change over the next 10 years?

In the past people tend to travel to Paris and visit the Eiffel Tower in 3 days, navigate in a Seina River Cruise and walk around MontMatre. Nowadays, people prefer the idea of being more involved in a certain foreign country; learning the language, doing grocery shopping, meeting people, and everything a citizen in that country would do... The language tourism offers this experience and forgets the simple sightseeing trip of three days.

Did YOU study abroad?! If so, where and what inspired you to go?

I did my Erasmus in Milan, Italy and then I was studying and working in Edinburgh, Scotland for 4 years. I think the best decision of your live when you are young is living outside your own country and learn different cultures. This has helped me to open my mind and know what I want professionally.

Describe a time when you felt especially proud to be part of the OnSpain School team.

Every time that I am going to visit a student at their work placement in one of our cooperating companies! I can see how they have improved their Spanish and their skills. I am glad to be part of that and that OnSpain School can contribute to their future.
