250 hr TEFL

This course was interesting, well-paced and engaging. I found the content relevant and up-to-date. My tutor gave me timely feedback with clear and helpful comments. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to make their CV stand out and improve their teaching practices. The administrative support was amazing. They were extremely helpful, gave me great advice and went out of their way to communicate with the teaching program I was applying for. I Highly recommended Global English for any course!

Global English 250hr

I really enjoyed this course and found the material very relevant and up to date. There were modules about the usual stuff one might find in 180 hr TEFL but the extra hours were dedicated to very interesting topics such as inclusion and advanced assessment. The support was excellent and my tutor gave me some great advice on my assignments. The questions were and assignments were challenging but not too tough. I found the course interface user friendly and easy to navigate. Furthermore, the administrative support was swift and helpful. Can highly recommend!

Tesol 120 hours

The Global English Team is extremely helpful, they response to enquires within a day. The content of this online course is highly informative and definitely helps to enhance your teaching skills. Through this program, I learnt how to better plan my lessons focusing on the mixed ability students . I definitely recommend everyone to take this course and it’s much cheaper than the other platforms. Moreover, they also have seasonal discounts which is great and will be much cheaper for the students or new teachers out there. Thank you ✨

Enjoyable and challenging online learning

In the past I'd helped out with the administrative side of TEFL classes. I got to know some folk that would happily have English instruction, but I felt totally unprepared to embark on this. I looked extensively at TESOL offerings and decided on Global English as they offered courses that were accredited and were very helpful in answering my queries. They had just started to offer online courses, which suited me as it could fit my own schedule. I completed the 150 hour level 4 course recently and it has given me complete confidence in moving on to teaching English and equipped to do this.

The tutor support was excellent and any questions were answered and I felt there was a genuine interest in my learning experience and personal progression.

I found the material was well structured and challenging, especially creating lesson plans and learning grammar.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the course that I did. In the future I would consider doing one of the specialist courses such as teaching 1 to 1 or teaching business English.

TESOL 120 hours level 3

I have just finished the TESOL level 3 course and feel completely happy with the experience, completing it in eight months. I started with no in depth knowledge of English grammar, although studying English Literature at college, I felt the grammar would be quite daunting. My previous career experience has been as an Art teacher so English was not a top priority. I am also a slow learner having problems processing information and come under the dyslexic spectrum. However I found the learning experience very comfortable. The modules were clearly explained, and in bite sized chunks. Whenever I struggled with a module I emailed my tutor and she promptly replied with simple and easy to understand advice. The modules were marked within two days at the most and the tutor comments were comprehensive and helpful.

I found the lesson plans quite difficult as they differ from art lessons but managed to get through them with pointers from my tutor. Altogether I learned a lot more about English grammar that I had ever anticipated. The Tips and picture examples were helpful and the links at the end of each module were great.

I have completed many courses in my career, both at college and university. The learning experience in some of these has been uncomfortable and sometimes unstructured, with unsympathetic tutors who don't always seem to know what they were doing. However my experience with the TESOL course has been completely the opposite, there is no comparison. The structure is second to none, the depth of teaching is very good and the the tutors are completely professional.

My plans are to teach English online and later to travel in Asia, probably Thailand, to teach there. I feel prepared and look forward to the rest of my teaching experience.

What would you improve about this program?
I can't really fault the content but maybe the dashboard could load up a bit quicker. Some of the examples seemed a bit dated, but it wasn't detrimental to the learning experience. Generally the course is excellent.

What is your favorite travel memory?

For me it is all those stunning yet simple Portuguese meals in little cantinas with the warm sun going down after a day of teaching. Food always felt well earned after class and it was great to unwind, while feeling the sun on your back, chatting through bits of the day with colleagues over a small(ish) glass of wine.

Which destination is most underrated? Conversely, which is most overrated?

Hard to say. Alaska was amazing for a variety of reasons; not just the landscape but the people being open and friendly. That's a place you wouldn't ordinarily go to so I'd say it is underrated. Never been anywhere overrated yet. I'll let you know.

What do you believe to be the biggest factor in being a successful company?

Keeping up to date with the teaching market and seeing what employers are looking for so offering relevant courses and looking after your trainees and treating people like people and as you would like to be treated.

How have you changed/grown since working for your current company?

I've seen that it makes a team to be successful and that you have to trust others to get on with it and delegate. This means getting lovely people on board and keeping them. Some of our tutors have been with us for many years - and this means a lot to me.

What unique qualities does your company possess?

It has one of the widest range of online courses to reflect the diversity of the market - and that's important because the course we'd recommend for Germany is different than China, for example. Plus, many people now want more flexibility in their work so we offer TESOL courses to help you freelance and teach English online. We've also been going a loooong time so we've developed some great job contacts and a fair bit of expertise along the way.

Describe a time when you felt especially proud to be part of your current team

Sorry, nothing to do with TESOL or work but 2 of our tutors have (independently) recently adopted children (and more than 1). I think this is one of the most amazing things you can do; share your lives with children who need a home and I am still a bit blown away by their selflessness.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

One of our trainees started teaching English online after his TESOL with us and then went to Thailand. However, on arrival his job fell through and most of the other teachers went home. Our trainee was able to stay since he could support himself teaching online. As a result, he found an even better job; all expenses paid and accommodation included, use of a motorbike and a great salary. Now he's moved again and is teaching online on an exotic island.

That's what I love about TESOL; it's so versatile.
