What position do you hold at Sansori? What has been your career path so far?

I am the founder of Sansori, a global model of education that embraces compassion, community & commerce, and I hope to collaborate with others who are transforming the world.

At Sansori, I am integrating the best of both private and not-for-profit experiences. I was president of AllLearn, an online educational venture among Oxford, Stanford, and Yale Universities, that served over 11,000 students from over 75 countries.

As Director for New Initiatives for Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, I spearheaded the development of the Women's Leadership Board. I also practiced law at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett's New York and London offices, and specialized in international capital market transactions.

I received my J.D. from Harvard Law School and A.B. from Bryn Mawr College, cum laude, in Chinese Philosophy. I currently serve on the Board of RAIT Investment Trust (NYSE: RAS). I have also served on the Board of Trustees of Bryn Mawr College and many other non-profit boards.

What does the future hold for Sansori - any exciting new programs to share?

In the next few years, Sansori will expand the Bridge Year program to include other locations around the world and local languages.

We will also offer programs for those aged kindergarten to twelve years focused on arts, music, movement, mindfulness, and outdoor activities where reading, writing, mathematics, languages, and science are integrated into their activities and projects.

What unique qualities does your company possess?

Sansori is creating a new global paradigm for education: a space where students integrate paths to inner wisdom, collaborative relationships, and financial sustainability.

Recognizing that lasting transformations come through direct experiences and not merely through ideas gleaned from reading or listening, Sansori offers experiential learning in a mixed-age and intergenerational setting. Students learn through travel, mind-body connection, and practicums at businesses that are making positive contributions to the world. Students share their best practices and engage in research through our online learning platform.

Sansori offers an innovative tuition policy aimed to reduce student debt and facilitate student ownership of their education. At the end of the Bridge Year program, each student decides what the value was and simply pays what s/he can afford.
