Enriching and rewarding course

I am very proud to have completed my course and to finally be a TEFL teacher ! It has been a fantastic, empowering and interesting experience ! The course is easy to follow so personally I didn’t need any help from my tutor as everything was clear and easy to understand. I particularly appreciated the hints and advice provided to pass the assessements which have been very helpful. I wanted to take a Celta at first but the Tefl level suits me the best because it is less demanding, more affordable and yet it can give access to the same job positions.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
The lenght of assessments but I tried to keep motivated.
Pros
  • Easy to follow
  • Clearly understandable
  • Affordable
Cons
  • The lenght of assessment
  • Loneliness

My TEFL Experience

The TEFL Institute should be commended for the overall structure, easy to use and encompassing course. Although I was somewhat nervous, as I hadn't studied for a while, the lesson plans made it easy to learn (all which i had learned in school, many year ago !). Together with help from The Academic Team (Jenny O'Sullivan, Rachel Hammond, Lauren Graham, Jacob Thomas, Walter Cullinan) I have managed to receive my diploma in a short space of time. With the days still clocking, I am able to recap anything I am doubtful of. The step by step tutorials have made it easier to consolidate all the notes I have taken & the knowledge gained. Thank you very much & much strength to you & your team, Olivia Climzyck.

What would you improve about this program?
I would remove the redundancy. There are places where the same information is repeated but in different ways.
Funny moment, now, but was not funny at the time....was trying to get hold of Walter to send me more details so that my bank could forward the payment. I did stress about it at the time.
Pros
  • Brilliant choice of videos to highlight the lesson being taught.
  • Providing extra learning examples.
  • Being able to ask questions which were readily answered.
Cons
  • Redundancy
  • Discord

Great course to get started with TEFL

I completed the 120hr course to get a job teaching in Europe, I completed the course in a matter of weeks and got a job in Italy after it. Everyone at the TEFL Institute was extremely helpful.

The 120hr course is a very straightforward course that anyone can do. It comprises of 10 modules and a short multiple-choice quiz at the end of each module. Once you have completed the certification, you will receive a digital certificate that you can use to apply for jobs.

They also have a recruitment team that can give you advice when looking for jobs. There's also plenty of tutor support if you're stuck on any part of the course. If you're a native English speaker with a degree, then this is the final piece of the puzzle that you'll need to get that job abroad.

Amazing experience!!

Everything about my experience in TEFL courses was amazing. The support and mentorship from the tutors and staff was very helpful. Olivia and Jenny from the TEFL Institute were particularly helpful, just as I imagine the rest of the staff is.

The contents are relevant, easy to understand, and promotes that the user makes the most out of their creativity and knowledge throughout the course. As I went through the course, the contents kept getting more and more interesting and motivating each time.

I am an English teacher!

I was already teaching English but didn't have a diploma. My company required a TEFL diploma. The TEFL institute had the best prices, so I took the 180 hours diploma course. I am really happy I did. The programme of the course is adapted to what you need to know as a teacher. It helped me put ideas in order, know what I was doing well or not and new things and resources. It gave me a better idea on how to plan my classes, different methods...a lot where to choose how and where to improve. The best is that all my knowledge about teaching is now well organized. Also Olivia Klimczyk and all the team was supportive and you have a weekly free class to ask questions on the assessments. They are not too easy, but they shouldn't! They are not too hard neither, and at least you don't have to take an exam! All in all I am really happy now I have my diploma, and I can finally say I am a certified English teacher!!

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
I left the course for last minute, and I had to do two thirds of the course in less time than I did the first half. Don't do that!
Pros
  • Got a diploma that will improve my professional career
  • Learned a lot
  • Got a lot of new resources
Cons
  • Not enough time to finish the course for busy people

What is your favorite travel memory?

I have countless unforgettable experiences that have enriched my travels. From wandering through charming small towns in southern Italy, indulging in exquisite local cuisine, to vibrant nights partying on boats in Budapest, each moment has been a delight. Additionally, exploring the breathtaking mountains of Catalonia provided stunning views and a sense of adventure. Each destination offered unique flavors, cultures, and memories that I cherish, making my journeys truly remarkable and inspiring me to seek out even more incredible adventures around the world.

The flexible hybrid work option is a great perk, allowing a healthy work-life balance while still feeling connected to a supportive and inspiring team. It’s truly helped me thrive in my role.

What is the best story you've heard from a return student?

One of the best stories we’ve heard is from Laura, who taught in Thailand. She was initially nervous about moving abroad but soon fell in love with the culture and her students. Laura shared how rewarding it was to see her students progress in English and embrace learning with enthusiasm. Her experience not only enriched her teaching skills but also gave her lifelong memories, like participating in local festivals and building strong bonds with her students and fellow teachers. It was truly an adventure!

If you could go on any program that your company offers, which one would you choose and why?

I’d love to join the Vietnam internship program! The chance to teach English there while immersing myself in such a vibrant culture would be incredible. Exploring Vietnam’s rich history, stunning landscapes, and delicious cuisine sounds like a dream. Plus, meeting and connecting with amazing people on the internship would make it an unforgettable experience. It’s the perfect opportunity to grow both personally and professionally while making a real impact in the lives of students.
