Hi Mary! There isn't a $800 program fee. The program has a $400 deposit, that you get back at the end of your contract. This is to guarantee your commitment to the program, as the school is counting on every single teacher to show up on the first day of school. In the past we had some people apply for the program, since it was free, just as a backup plan and then decide a few days before the start date that they didn’t want to participate. This put us (and especially the schools and students) in a really hard spot, which is why we now require the commitment deposit.
