Not the type of opportunity you want to pass up.

My fondest memories are of several of us standing around 1 of the grand pianos singing Adele while someone played the piano. Several nights of that. Months later, we're still posting to facebook about how we miss each other. Having dinner every night with the same people may seem a little monotonous for some, but it created a great sense of family (something that is surely needed when you are so far away from home). I'm sure each quarter has its on unique set of characteristics, but I was there during the spring. We had a few days of yucky, cold, clammy & damp weather, but even with that, Lacoste is a beautiful village. When we got sun and nice weather it just made it that much more enjoyable. Plenty of nights were spent in one of the two computer labs (mac or pc). The vernissage was awesome! I was so impressed by all of the students' work. I'm still amazed at the talent that SCAD has helped to develop. I can't say enough about the study abroad program. Depending on the course(s) you take, the workload can be very challenging (or may be kind of light) - just depends on what you are doing. In any case, 8 weeks definitely makes for a crunch for time. I hope you decide to sign up for the program. It's one opportunity everyone should take.

What would you improve about this program?
That hill! Ok, but since that probably can't be changed, an update to the food... :-) Aurevoir!

Beautiful!

Lacoste was the most beautiful place I have ever been! Waking up surrounded by stone walls, then you walk down to the cafe to be surrounded by wonderful smells and delicious food, then you go on adventure after adventure! The only thing I wish I could change about my experience is that I wish I could have stayed even longer! It became a second home!

Best Experience I have ever had!

Lacoste is such a beautiful and enriching place to live for a few months. I encourage any student to study abroad here. Every week was filled with field trips and learning opportunities. The staff is excellent and you grow very close with all of them. They spend so much time with the students that it becomes one big family. I would go back in a heartbeat!

My new home

I really love the city as it's so beautiful. The university is really helpful and seem to have thought of everything to help out new students. I love the flexible style of study. It's hard work and I'm always busy, but I'm loving it!

The most difficult bit of studying in the States was sorting out visa's and documents etc.

It's interesting studying in a different country as there are many small cultural differences, food, accents, new words I've never heard of. I'm very happy to be learning what I love and in a place I'm beginning to see as home.
