Fantastic opportunity for cultural immersion unlike any other travel experience. Supportive introduction to travel and life working abroad. Extremely luxurious accomodation and high quality of food. Additional activities were also extremely fun. Highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see the world and work closely with local people. Great way to improve confidence in teaching and presenting, and see learn what makes a good teacher. Highly rewarding experience and one I'll look back on with fond memories.

My experience with Gotoco was amazing from start to finish! I was really impressed with everything that was done for us. On one of our days off we had a bus booked to take us to Cordoba for the day. Plus, during our cultural tour we had a lot of things organised for us which made life a lot easier and cheaper! Our coordinator, Aislinn, was amazing - she did so well to make sure we were all doing okay and remained happy.
It has helped me to increase my confidence and, language and leadership skills. I feel that the experience has helped me to improve my social skills. I also feel that my general soft skills have been enhanced and I have already used this experience as an example during job interviews.
My highlight was being given the opportunity to interact and meet so many different people. I feel that my own confidence and conversational skills have massively improved and I have made connections with people that I believe will last for life. I also feel like I have developed my leadership skills which was a big step for me.

I was fortunate to participate in two programs one in Thailand and one in Bali. Both programs were quite different but offered amazing opportunities.

Almost everything was organised by gotoco such as transportations, food, cultural excursions and more!

I’ve made so many meaningful relationships with my hosts, students and other gotocoers!

This whole experience helped me become more confident as a an esl teacher and as a solo traveller! Since then I have taught in a summer camp in Malaysia and travelled to Singapore and South Korea! I hope to carry on teaching around the world :)

Gotoco is the best thing that happened to me, it has opened a whole world of new possibilities that I didn't know it even existed. I have thought so many times about teaching before but never took the leap. Gotoco was the ideal setting to do so. I very much enjoyed my program; teaching was so rewarding and we also learned so much from the kids. The experience itself has taught me so many different life skills. I also enjoyed all the cultural activities we did such as wood carving, offering making, water purification, painting and of course Balinese cooking class. I definitely did things I would have never gone for in my usual life and I am so grateful that I was exposed to so many different workshops which opened a brand-new world of possibilities.

Overall experience was very good. Teaching was a challenging but unique and fun experience. You get to immerse yourself into the local culture which is more exciting than ordinary teaching.

If you're looking to challenge yourself, then this experience is definitely helpful as you step out of your comfort zone by meeting new people. It also a confidence booster as you find yourself travelling independently.

My host families were amazing, I was provided with extremely comfortable accommodation and fed very well. My campmates and camp directors were super friendly, we all got on really well.

I never thought teaching english in china was a possibility for me let alone on a fully funded programme. Gotoco made it possible and have even inspired me into teaching abroad later in life. The scenery is amazing the experiences are unmatched and the people you meet along the way are one of a kind. I have made friends for life and it’s all because of gotoco. The teaching was fun and luckily every child i encountered was eager to learn which made the process easier. It teaches you so much about yourself and it’s going to be hard for me to do better than this summer.

It was a really fun and unique experience which has taught me useful skills for the future. With this experience I was definitely pushed out of my comfort zone in more. ways than one, however it left me learning more about myself than I'd expected, and even pushed me to adapt to environments I wouldn't necessarily find myself in. Furthermore I felt really welcomed by my host and school, the hospitality of Thai people is amazing, they are really kind-natured people. In addition to this the trip at the end of the programme was really enjoyable.

This has been the most adventure filled summer! I had the opportunity to upskill and explore a place abundant with natural beauty. I made connections and friends with people who I won't forget. I really appriciate that we were able to immerse ourselves in learning about Balinese culture and their language. We had enough free time to organise our own trips.

Overall, this is a great programme to do after graduating or whilst studying. I think doing something like this opens you up for other opportunities and ideas about your future. If you are a keen explorer/adventurer and learner then Gotoco programmes are for you!

Gotoco Vietnam was an incredible experience, with the opportunity to travel to a new part of the world; something that without their funding I possibly would not have been able to achieve this summer. It was amazing to be able to meet so many new people, including fellow Gotoco-ers during orientation, as well as new students in schools and locals around the area, as well as staying with an incredible family as part of a homestay. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here in Vietnam, and regret only chasing a month long programme!

I just finished the Bali summer programme, it was the most amazing experience and I would recommend it to everyone! The volunteering aspect was so much fun, it was great to experience having your own class and so much control over what you could do whilst also having the support and training from the coordinators. The timing of the volunteering also left so much time to explore Bali and all the surrounding islands. I had one of the best summers and did things I will never forget! Thank you gotoco for the best experience that has been so accesible!
