When I first enrolled in the TEFL Iberia course, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I knew it would be demanding, but I underestimated just how much I would learn in such a short space of time. From day one, the course dives straight into the essentials of English language teaching, and the pace doesn't let up, but in the best possible way. We were teaching lessons every week, and also learning so much through our assignments and homework.
What really stood out to me was how structured and well thought-out it was. Each week had a clear focus, from grammar awareness to teaching receptive and productive skills. But more than anything, the focus on practical teaching experience is what made it so worthwhile. We were in the classroom teaching real students from early on, and while it was nerve-wracking at first, it was the fastest way to build confidence and see how the techniques we were learning actually played out.
The tutors were incredible. Each one brought their own experience and personality to the training, which meant we were exposed to a variety of teaching styles. They offered constant support and feedback, always constructive and encouraging, and they clearly cared about helping each of us succeed.
If you’re thinking about signing up, I’d say go for it. It’s intense, yes, but the support is there every step of the way. I left the course feeling confident, capable, and genuinely excited to start my teaching journey. I also made great friends and had a lot of fun in Barcelona, which was a lovely bonus!
