Best experience ever!!

The surf camp was so awesome and the staff there is very professional and surporting. It has definitely been the best week in Australia. I met so many nice and cool people and got to travel further with them on roadtrips, love the social atmosphere and team spirit. Really, go there!!

Great camp, great people, great experience

When I went to surf camp I really enjoyed the instructor's enthusiasm to teach us how to surf. They wanted everyone to stand up on their own and ride out a great wave. They filmed everything with the Go Pro and went all out to get great pics. Instructors worked together to get a student standing on the board while another instructor surfed alongside to get a great action shot. They got a face full of water, but loved it. I appreciate that I was able to save this memory and share it with others back home. The video made of the weekend at the end was also a great memory to keep to share with family and friends as it really encompasses the fabulous weekend. I like that the photos and videos were included in the program cost because I don't like to pay extra for those things. The free shirt and hat are both nice keepsakes as well :)

What would you improve about this program?
I feel that the program was VERY sponsored by Rip Curl. They pushed the brand very hard and it was very obvious. It was a bit unnecessary at times. I liked the wetsuits and boards and can ask about the brand if I want to, but I don't need it pushed on me.

Surf Camp Australia - Guarantee of a great weekend

I went to the Surf Camp expecting just a few lessons in a board. But what I've founded was a great and complete experience.

In those three days I learned how to surf and meet great people. I've also a chance to party at night.

The program is perfect because you have the better qualities of a exchange travel: people, adventures and party.

What would you improve about this program?
Maybe, would be better if we had a person responsible just for the pictures. We have photos, but they're taking by the instructors, so they are not that good.

Surf camp 2014 experience

I really enjoyed my entire experience I had during surf camp. I am from over seas and have never gotten the chance to try out surfing but have always wanted to. This weekend I was able to accomplish my desire to learn how to surf and I also had the opportunity to meet new people and share the experience with them along the way.

What would you improve about this program?
If there was something that needed to be changed I would recommend that they offer a vegetarian dish or substitute for the meals involving meat. Also, having water on the beach would have been good.

Surf camp australia experience

I really enjoyed surf camp australia and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for an exciting adventure while in oz. The instructors all know there stuff and are really friendly and fun. The food was great and overall feeling when being there was you were all a tight friendly group. All staff and instructors helped out with any problems and issues. I was standing up on the surf board after my second lesson and am now hooked to surfing. Recommend to everyone.

What would you improve about this program?

You will want to go back again and again!

I can't mention Surf Camp Australia without being totally excited about it! First time I`ve been there was one of my best weekends in Australia, I was imediately caught by the surf bug! 7 mile beach indeed is a great place to learn how to surf, only a couple of hours south from Sydney. I went with some mates, but we met many new people there, which became very close friends! The food is great, the surfboards and the wetsuits as well, as much as the accomodation!! The camp has the BEST atmosphere. The surf lessons are awesome, and you won`t get out from there without knowing how to stand up and having so much fun! You gotta go to understand what I`m talking about, everyone loves it!

What would you improve about this program?
I wish I could have stayed longer!!

Surf Camp AMAZING!!!

Suf camp is amazing! I had the best time of my life and sooooo want to go back again!
I went for only 5 days and want to buy a surf board (after never being able to or learnt to surf before I might add).
You may look at the price and think its too expensive, but in the grand scheme of things, when you way it up with how much you'd spend on travel there, food, accommodation, drink and lessons, you realise how cheap it is!!
You arrive about midday on the Monday, have lunch and already you have your 1st lesson, where you stand up, even if it is only for a couple of seconds. The rest of the week, you are perfecting what you learnt with really good, informative, friendly, experienced instructors. You are even taught more experienced positions on the board later in the week even though you think you're still a beginner, which you can apply later on once you are an experienced surfer yourself.
If you are not really interested in sports, I still strongly reccommend you go. You learn something new (which is kind of a right of passage in Oz) which all your friends back home will be really jealous of, you meet so many different people to which you may not meet otherwise and the set up down at 7 mile beach is so good that you aren't going to get knocked around by massive waves or crash into rocks. If you're a bit scared of the water, the instructors are there to look after you, so you'll be fine. They help as well if you feel you're not catching a good wave or feel you can't stand up when everyone else around you seems to be.
Your muscles which you didnt realise you had before do ache, but only because its a new sport and your using them how you wouldn't have before. Some people didn't go on a lesson because their body ached, but push through it, because once you are in the water your body forgets about it and you may even end up having the best surf of your life!
The instructors at the end of the week also tell you about what to buy when looking for your first board, along with beach and surfing safety, which is invaluable when wanting to carry on surfing up the east coast, or anywhere else for that matter.

You just HAVE to go while in Sydney, I even miss it while writing this review!
