I would like to come back again for this amazing work experience in STSicily

My name is Camille, I’m 18 years old, I live in North-East of France in Mulhouse and I study International business at Lycée Albert Schweitzer in Mulhouse. In Sicily, people are nice and welcoming, the landscape is beautiful and the beach too, even if it’s long to walk until the most proper beach. We have some restaurants around us, bars with music with nice people who work there, supermarkets or what we need. To conclude, I would like to come back but I think it’s better to live there than coming for a holiday in my opinion.

Thanks to this experience in STSicily

My name is Anaëlle Bidault, I am 18 years old, I’m from Lycée Silvia Monfort in Luisant. I live in a flat which is just above our office so it’s more simple to go to work, and because we can sleep more. We also live near the other trainees, near the main square, bar, restaurants, shops, beach. We also work with, two girls from Tours. They are very nice and sometimes we hang out with them and with other trainees. At the office, we have to talk in English so we could be better, and in the life, we can learn some Italian words like Grazie, boungiurno, ciao, arivederci, spiaggia.. but also some food words like pomodoro, mele, fragola, panini. Thanks to this experience, we can learn about the culture and the history of this island, we did few visits like Palermo, we saw Massimo theater, gardens, we also do shopping, it was very nice. Segesta, we saw temples and theater, we go the Segesta with Irina and Marine, and with my parents Agrigento, we saw temples it was very beautiful, my favorite visit for now Cefalu was very nice too, with the clear blue water Erice, a city in the mountains, with a beautiful view on Trapani…

My first work experience and Balestrate is beautiful!!!

I am Chloé Kuster. I am from Highschool Colbert in Thionville. I was selected for an internship in Italy, more precisely Balestrate in Sicily. I worked in Immobiliare Curcuru’, an Immobiliare firm. It was a good project for me because it was my first work experience and I had the opportunity to practice 2 languages that I learned in school: English and Italian. This internship was very beneficial for me because it was an opportunity for me to do all the things I learned during my studies.
Balestrate is a beautiful city. We can go to the beach walking when we have free time. I went to Palermo twice for the moment. The first time I went to a villa for an Immobiliare conference with my mentor, Lorenzo Curcuru. The second time I went with a friend to do the shopping and eat at Mcdonalds. The food is different from French food because there are a lot of Sicilian specialties. We had the opportunity to assist at the celebration of fish in Balestrate. For this occasion, we visited some kitchen of restaurants and can degust food and wines. The ice cream and pasta are very good and the pizza is less expensive than France.
This Internship was very important for me because since it was my first work experience in life. I liked to work with Lorenzo, my mentor because he trusts in me and believes in me. He is a very good person and mentor because he explains slowly and takes time to speak to us when there is a problem. The experience was very good and we will remember this first work experience forever.

Great opportunity to improve your language skills

I am Adrien, I am French, I come from Lycée Condorcet, I was selected for the internship summer camp in Sicily, in Balestrate, from the 2 May to the 2 July 2018, we did our internship in Attavola USA, a company who export Sicilian food in another country like the USA, the company has different branches, one of them is specialized in the tourism activity, the company proposed sailboat trips in the Castellamare Gulf, we work in prospection, we do some database and email sending. Sicily proposes different excursions, in Palermo, and in other cities around.
For me, the internship was a big opportunity to practice my language, English, and Italian, also a little Spanish, discover a new culture, traditions, way of life.

Memorable Internship.

I am Gautham Rayan, I am 19 years old and I come from Albert Schweitzer high school in Mulhouse. I was selected by Piero Tuzzo to do my internship in Balestrate in Sicily. I worked for 2 months in the company "Marina di Balestrate", I have discovered some very nice people in the company and the city too. Since we arrive here, we have done some activities. For example, we went to Palermo with Pieero’s car, we have visited some famous places and done some shopping. We went to Partinico to discover a new culture, visit some old monuments and meet original people. Thanks to Piero, we can do some football training and moreover we played a match against Balestrate's team. Football is my passion so I am thankful to Piero Tuzzo for organizing it.
We participate in some English courses with Natalia, who is a very nice person and a very nice teacher too. I liked the food in Balestrate but there is no halal food, so I must eat pizza every day. The landscapes are really amazing, I have never seen Italy before and it’s really an amazing place. I have learned some of the Italian words during my internship (prego, grazié, pesca…). Life is really different in France, people don’t care about everything. In Sicily, they just enjoy their life. We organized some parties together, for example when it was my friend's birthday, we made a little party together.
Piero Tuzzo helped us a lot, he had organized an excursion with the «Levante sea experience » company, it was great. I will keep a real good memory of my internship in Sicily.

Work experience in Sicily

I am Ines, I am 21 years old. I study international Trade in Lycee Monfort in France. I would like to share my work experience in Sicily. I am living a great experience of work because we learn how to work in team with colleague, it also allows us to improve our skills in negotiation, in trade, we also realized video that we post on youtube and we put subtitle in Italian, in French, and in English that anyone can understand and hear our story. Then, for the first time, I did phone and it was an amazing experience. Moreover, we have the chance to learn new tools to excel-like people table. The first is that I have the opportunity to visit many monuments such as Massimo Theater and Temple in Segesta. We also discover a new culture a Sicilian culture. It also allowed me to improve my level of English and to learn a new language that is Italian.
I recommend this internship to each student who wants to work in a team , to live in Balesrrate, a beautiful city and have a nice and welcoming person. This training taught me how to work in a team and to discover the work world.

Interesting and learned a lot!!

My name is Eva Galves, I am french and I am twenty years old. I come from Lyon and studying in the high school of Lycee la Pleiade and I was selected to do an internship in Sicily. In my stage, I did prospection for a real estate company called Immobiliare Curcuru.
I had the chance to be in Sicily for doing my internship and it was very great because there are beautiful landscapes, and many excursions to do and to visit. For example, I visited the capital of Sicily, Palermo. It is a big city and there are a lot of shops, it was a good day for me. There are a lot of things that I liked, the people of this country are very generous. Every day during the two months, I worked in the morning to create the database, emailing, phoning, it was good but a little bit boring at the end.
A difficulty for me during this internship was the language because I don’t speak Italiano and here in Balestrate many people speak Italian and not English, so I speak sometimes English, sometimes Spanish and sometimes french for people to understand me. A good difference between France and Sicily is the price of food because in France everything is very expensive.
About my accommodation, I liked it a lot but they're missing some things to cook, and my bedroom doesn’t have a window so it was a problem for me. and the bed was not comfortable.
Finally, this internship was interesting and I learned more about myself after I came here.

Overall internship experience in Sicily

I am Anouk Besseau, I’m 20 years old, I’m a student in international trade in Poitiers at Lycée Victor Hugo in France. In the beginning, we were divided into different companies for work prospection, negotiation, and marketing. We all became friends and go out at night or at the beach altogether. We participated in the traditional festival of the dry and learn the story of Balestrate. We visited the kitchens of some restaurants in the city to see how the restaurants prepared the dry. We then got a free ticket to taste the traditional dishes in the restaurants. There was a fire show. Excursions are organized, paid or sometimes free. For example visits museums, cities, do a boat-trip…I visited Partinico with the « museum » of puppets, the center, do shopping, street food and visit the city on a little red train. It was funny and that’s attracted the center.

Best working experience ever

My name is Andersen Lasse. I am 19-years-old. I am French and German. I study in the Lycée Albert Schweitzer in Mulhouse. The people who work in the company are very nice. Since we arrived we meet some very nice people especially the other French studies. In Sicily, there are some beautiful landscapes especially the beach. We have done some activities, for example, I went 3 times to the Sicilian capital Palermo. Palermo, it’s a beautiful city. And we also go to the little town not so far from Balestrate: “Partinico”. So, we take a little train altogether. It was a nice day because we are all together and it was very fun. On the 18 of June, it was my birthday and the other French studies prepare a little party at the top of our house. It was a very nice party. All-day we take the car to go to work. Piero Tuzzo offers us the possibility to play football 3 times per week. And at the end of the internship summer camp, we do a match against the football team of Balestrate. The Italian food is very nice I like the cannoli, pizza, pasta… I like the house where we live. I live in a house with 6 other guys and it was very fun. I like to be here but I’d be glad to come back home and see family and my friends.

My experience in Sicily

I have been really pleased to spend time in Sicily and to work with ST Sicily during two months. This internship allows me to better know how to do prospection, create big database, speak better in english, discover a new culture and country, play football with italian people, ...
When I come here, I have 3 doubts : the accomodation, how to live alone without knowing anyone and develop my english in non english speaking country. It was very difficult at the beginning but I learn step by step how to adapt myself.
To resume, I have been really happy to work in Italy with Piero Tuzzo my manager.
