An unforgettable experience!

Virtual Interships provided me with a great opportunity to explore my professional options through an online internship. I was able to work as a Social Media Intern for Boundless Impact which is based in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
The internship was definitely out of my comfort zone as I has little experience about social media but by the ned of the internship, I was able to submit a template for the newsletter and also complete profiles of my colleagues. It was really cool to see my work on their website.
It was also really helpful to have routine check-ins with Virtual Internships that helped me in organising my time and reflecting effectively on my work.

Truly a wonderful experience!

What was your funniest moment?
I loved our weekly zoom meetings in which you had to talk about the work we did during the week, what we wanted to focus on and how we were going to treat ourselves over the weekend!

Fantastic Online Working Experience

I did online internships with companies in Vietnam and Nepal. These were a fantastic addition to my CV in a year where international travel was practically nonexistent. CRCC was really helpful throughout, providing me regular updates about the progress of my job searching process and promptly answering any queries that I had. The work I did was challenging and helped me to develop new skills and learn lots of really useful information. The video call with an employee from CRCC at the halfway point of the internship was really beneficial in evaluating my development. Would highly recommend.

Super Valuable Experience!

During my short but impactful time working as a marketing intern at a company based in Shanghai, I gained so much valuable experience in only 5 weeks. I instantly felt as though I was a valued team member and was able to take ownership of several hands-on projects within the first week. The team not only made me feel extremely welcomed but held me to high standards which cultivated an open and growth-oriented environment. As a result, I have gained so many new skills, as well as refined the skills I came in with, resulting in a newfound confidence as I approach future opportunities.

Such a great experience!

My experience with virtual internships was amazing. I went into the program with specific target skills in mind, however I ended up learning so many other skills such as design software, cross cultural time management, data management, etc. My supervisors were so helpful throughout my time interning and I felt like I could come to them with anything I was feeling. The workload is very manageable and the partner organizations are just great! My favorite part of interning was the ability to build my network.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
If I were to have another virtual internship, I would definitely utilize all the free language-learning platforms available to all interns. They let you pick any language you want and you have the duration of your time interning to take lessons!

Great Chance to get experience during the pandemic

I'm a university student and in order to get a great corp training opportunity, I had to have some type of experience, but covid19 made that difficult. Thankfully i was able to utilize my summer for learning new things and gaining experience with virtual internships. Thankfully, I was offered better opportunities after completing the program.

I think they should focus more on picking the companies that host the interns, and should get a full, detailed plan on what they are going to work on to make sure interns are going to get the best of the program. In my experience i never communicated with anyone from the firm except my supervisor, i wish there was more interaction or at least introduction to the rest of the team.

What was the most surprising thing you saw or did?
I thought I hated digital marketing because it was the worse subject in school, but working on it was completely different so I guess I love it know!

Summer Intermship

I loved my experience with virtual internships. It delivered exactly what was mentioned and provided the experience one needs as an internship. You can get international expertise from home and work on your skills. Your placement company supervisor and program supervisor will make sure to keep up with your goals and skills you may want to gain/improve. Some aspects of the internship are different than real life internships but they coincide with our current workplace conditions post covid. A good way to start adapting to different work settings and styles.

My experience in this program was more than wonderful. I gained an experience and I got relationships with creative and successful people. Things were organized and the support staff received feedback weekly. Even better, training is online and it is easy and flexible to work anytime and anywhere. All you have to do is to organize your time and define the goals and skills you want to achieve then implement them in this wonderful program with your team that you work with. It's an opportunity to learn comfortably before entering real highly competitive job market.

Moving to the next success and new skill.

Developing strengths and reducing weaknesses and the team members who help me with them.

Set times to finish projects and work in an orderly and harmonious way.

Summer intern

I established newfound confidence in myself and my abilities strengthening my career development. The program team is very helpful. I recommend participating in the weekly interactions between interns and attending the educational webinars. It imparted me with cross-cultural skills and qualities, providing me with greater knowledge and understanding with many other skills and abilities. Possessing the willingness and ability to adapt, and the experience to prove one can, will certainly look good on a resume.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Public speaking ( with the entire team of the company)

First Virtual Internship

Being the youngest of my fellow interns, I was intimidated and worried that I wouldn't be taken seriously, but each one of my colleagues was respectful, helpful, and cooperative. The age gap was never an issue. We treated each other like friends and got along great. The support was far more than expected. Our supervisor also assured that we were recieving assistance in every step of the way. He provided us with mentors, weekly check-up sessions, and weekly business-building airmeets and workshops. He made sure we addressed our mistakes but also learned from them and moved on.
I would like to sincerely thank Virtual Internships for providing me with the opportunity to grow!
