Gate

I would like to thank Via lingua for the opportunity they gave me as I want to thank Mr.Omar for the support. Thanks to the certificate I could find a job in Vietnam.

TEFL certificate is really important to be selected for an English teaching job so I reccomend to you join Via Lingua to get not just the certificat but also to get an idea about the classroom.

During my stay in Marakesh, I learned a lot and had the chance to meet other teachers from other countries. Our teachers were senior teachers in University and they shared their experience with us.

Finally, I would like to advice young teachers like me to take the risk and apply for a job overseas because it is too much fun. China and Vietnam are the biggest markets now so grab your chance and come over.

No time to waste! get TEFL certified right now!!

What's Via Lingua Marrakesh about? Well... It's simply so interesting, with rich content and a lot of learning. Not only you get exactly ALL what you ACTUALLY need to TRANSFORM into an experienced English teacher, it offers you adequate talents and appropriate qualities to take hardest life challenges as well, with great confidence and high self-esteem. Much work, a push of perseverance, a bit more of efforts, and you'll find yourself straight in front of the success gate, ready to step across the threshold of employment. Via Lingua Marrakesh TEFL training will surely grant you a highly appreciated added value you can absolutely rely on along your professional path.
In one word: An opportunity to seize! That's what I actually did in September 2019 when I took the intensive course.
Just taste the warm and welcoming breeze of Marrakesh, explore foreign cultures, meet nice people, and eventually get TEFL certified. Worth it.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
The first time you stand up before your students, when you're requested to perform your very first teaching practice. So funny at the end because the fear leaves you within the first five minutes and you get familiar with the teaching job.

The best decision I have ever made

I've been an English teacher for about 3 years now thanks to VIA LINGUA and its stuff; from the director of the American Language Center to all the profesional trainers. Every single teacher of the trainers will help you and push you so hard to learn and achieve the main aims of the training program.
But, why should you enrol in? Throughout the three years of teaching, I've met and interviewed a lot of '' teachers ''. Unfortunately, most of them don't know what a lesson plan is which is shameful. Yeah, IT IS. They have no idea how listening, grammar, vocabulary, writing, speaking, and reading should be taught! So, they just copy from the teacher's book or depend on the others to help them when they're stuck. I rarely use the teacher's book simply because it doesn't know my students better than me, and I know what, why, when, and how I teach something. In other words, I'm a qualified,independent teacher.
That's concerning teaching, but what about you? The teacher! VIA LINGUA will help you to become a more humaine, caring and creative teacher.
All in all, if you want to be a qualified English teacher, don't hesitate to take this course.

Teaching from different perspectives

The via lingua course (CTEFL) was a unique experience for me. Theories, approches, and techniques were some of the things I got exposed to. I also got exposed to various teaching methods. Tutors were there for us to give positive feedback on every teaching practice. I learned that an effective teacher is someone who seeks to improve himself/herself. Someone who reflects on his/her lesson after every class they teach to see what went right and what went wrong. I learned that there are three kinds of lesson plans: the one I want to teach, the one I think I am going to teach, and the one I ended up teaching. I learned that students are always in the hub of interest. I learned that there is no end to learning. Effective teachers try their best to live up to students expectations.

What is your advice to future travelers on this program?
The TEFL course is a key to teach English overseas.

Via lingua is simply the best.

I highly recommend VIA LINGUA Marrakesh.It's a course where you learn how to teach.It's a training that has a good reputation.You can get a teaching job as soon as as you get your certificate either here in Morocco (as I did) or abroad as a lot of my friends did(e.g China, Turkey...)
It' an exeprience where you develop professionnally and personnally.You'll meet different people from different countries and amazing and professional trainers who will help you MASTER THE ART OF TEACHING.
I took the intensive session in July 2018.It was really tiring as we had to prepare for lessons,observe classes,attend input sessions,write templates...all this in a daily basis..But at the end of the course.I learnt a lot..I felt that I am a real TEACHER..That's why I encourage you to join the training..Be sure..you won't regret.

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
If there's an opportunity to do this again.I won't hesitate...I really miss the creativity of Omar and said.

A Wonderful Educational Experience in Istanbul

I really enjoyed my TEFL course at Via Lingua in Istanbul. I feel like I learned so much in such a little time. The professors are very experienced in their fields of education and linguistics -- it was a pleasure being in their classes! All the support staff were too friendly, always offering tea and coffee (and sometimes Baklava), and helping me with issues that were not even part of the class, such as getting a Turkish sim card. I really appreciated the close-knit friendly environment of the school, and loved getting delicious Turkish lunches together with my classmates and professors. The class was very small so we got lots of attention and feedback during our teaching practices. They also helped us navigate the TEFL job market in Istanbul with valuable tips and advice!

What would you improve about this program?
I would maybe like even more teaching materials provided, such as packets of lesson plan ideas and activities.

Unsure about teaching overseas? Take the course anyway. These skills are translatable!

Lessons at ViaLingua Istanbul were a necessary compliment to traditional professional development that I receive as an overseas contractor. The coursework and teaching practicum were sometimes as challenging as the activities I had completed in college, but they enabled me to harness and develop skills not yet mentioned by other reviewers:
* enhanced active listening
* improved ability to give instructions
* clearer board work, confidence in presentation
* ability to conduct Need's Analysis and customize deliverables
* working/communicating effectively as a team
* demonstrating good decision-making
These are lessons not taught in traditional classrooms - a good foundation to have for future leadership positions. I highly recommend this course!

If you did this all over again, what's one thing you would change?
I stayed the entire length of my Visa. I'd have planned it!

A challenging and essential course for any future teacher.

The location is fantastic and the staff is courteous and caring. Everything is pretty straight-forward, meaning you won't have to deal with any unexpected events. The material covered in the course is incredibly helpful and will prepare you for any teaching position in the future. No matter how much you already know about teaching or how well experienced you may think you are, there will always be new things for you to learn and improve on. This TEFL course was challenging in terms of the workload, pressure to perform and any material that may be new to you, such as grammar rules and how to be able to teach them to students from all backgrounds and levels. I highly recommend this course if you're looking to actually become a good teacher and are not simply trying to get just any TEFL certificate. This course is well worth the investment!

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
The 10 hour practicum can be daunting for those with little or no experience teaching, and the criticism from the director can be hard to overcome, however, trust me when I say that this course will help you grow into a better individual. Accept the challenge and you'll be ready for any teaching job in the world.
