Tom and Stephanie did a great job of setting me up with a school and keeping in touch (especially in the crucial first days in China). They put me in touch with another teacher currently working in my city so that I could get honest and reliable answers to my questions.
Tom was available for every step of the interview and visa process and was happy to help with any inquiries that arose. Tom visited my city and although we did not get a chance to meet up, the fact that he (and Stephanie) have experience teaching and traveling in China and East Asia was immensely comforting.
I was also given plenty of opportunities to write for the website to boost my online presence and CV.
Ultimately, I feel Opportunity China prepared me as well as possible for the experience.
What would you improve about this program?
Bear in mind that once you are in China, there is only so much Opportunity China can help you. They will send you to a good school, that will take great care of you but there is not much they can do for you if you have a problem.
