About Program
The Summer Film Program students take FLM: 389 Urban Indie Filmmaking for six credits. The experience goes beyond the walls of the classroom through a speaker series with industry professionals, and visits to local production companies and studios such as Eyesteelfilm, Parafilms, 4U2C, Cineground, Framestore and Mel’s “La cité du cinéma” as they work on producing their own film. From writing screenplays, documentary treatments, and visual concepts, mastering the tools of cinematography, sound recording, video editing, and film promotion and distribution students engage in the filmmaking workflow.
Final projects completed during the course will be screened at a major independent downtown theatre. Your time abroad is enhanced by endless vibrant summer festivals and a dynamic art scene that comes as part of living in Montreal, there's something for everyone in the number 1 student rated city in the world.
