About Program

ULACIT offers two type of service learning programs:

Rural Program:

ULACIT offers a new and unique five-week summer program in Sustainable Development. This summer program offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in service learning and sustainability studies in rural Costa Rica.
Students can also opt for an additional course in Costa Rican Culture and Language

Urban Program:

This course is designed for students who are willing to serve at different public or non- profit, non-governmental organizations with the purpose to see first-hand the community´s need, expectations and limitations. This course has a social focus. Participants will respond to the community needs, identify both the strengths and weaknesses of the projects and relate them to the theoretical contents of the Social Community Development course.

This program is no longer offered. View more programs from Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología (ULACIT).
