Sustainable Production Systems in Costa Rica

This program provides an overview of the sustainable production systems of Costa Rica. This program is aimed at giving participants the opportunity to learn from nature and build up ecosystems that result on a sustainable production. Agroecology is a science focused on searching for better understanding of how food production systems can not only supply enough healthy food and products for everybody, but also preserves the resources for future generations.

This 13-day program is an experiential course where participants get the chance to be in the field, 40% indoor and 60% outdoor.The program includes interactive lectures about important and related matters, site visits to different product plantations, small eco-friendly businesses which have applied the principles of agroecology, and remarkable adventure excursions through which students develop leadership skills.
