Clean Energies Study Abroad Program in Costa Rica

The Clean Energies Program provides a 15-day comprehensive overview of the commercial and in-house renewable energy industry and sustainability in Costa Rica. As the Epicenter of Renewable Energy, Costa Rica is the only location in the world where wind, hydroelectric, geothermal, biomass, and solar energy facilities converge within a territory of less than 100km to produce a remarkable educational platform.

Each student builds global awareness through immersion with the Spanish speaking culture and participates in exciting adventure excursions and local community development projects. Over the course of the program, the students visit a commercial renewable energy plant in each of the following categories: Biomass, Hydroelectric, Wind, Geothermal, and Solar.
