About Program

The Prague Summer School on Development, Sustainability and Globalization aims to enrich the discussion on the new tasks for the global development.

The program is conceptualized within a broad framework, as the study of development challenges cannot discern, for instance, from the debate on food production and consumption in both developed and developing countries, environmental impact of development or existing institutional arrangements based on political negotiations and multilateral cooperation.

Provide students with deeper understanding of development challenges by addressing the set of political, economic, technological and environmental aspects related to development cooperation.

Program Highlights

  • Start your summer in Europe with Prague Summer Schools
  • Look into the frictions between globalization, development and sustainability created by international trade, multilateral system of global rules, and business and NGO activities in developing countries
  • Unique opportunity to discuss the reality of international development and moving towards sustainable models
  • Participants will understand how development and sustainability function in a real world context and how different concepts actually work in practice
  • Many students participating in our program counted our summer schools towards their degrees, usually receiving 3-4 ECTS. Students who wish to receive credits for attending a summer school needs to negotiate the amount of credits with their university.
