STEM at ISI Florence - Physics, Biology, & More
- Italy
- Florence
About Program
ISI Florence is committed to providing immersive and diversified study abroad opportunities. For this reason, we have developed a curriculum inclusive of STEM topics.
Physics & Mathematics: Italy's contribution to these fields includes those of Leonardo da Vinci, and the more recent work of 20th century Fermi statistics. Italians have not only contributed to theory, but they have also left a long history of practical applications of mathematics and physics, including the creation of the radio. This makes Italy, and Florence, an excellent location for the study of mathematical theory, and topics such as 'Modern Physics' or a lab on 'Electricity and Magnetism'.
Biology: Explore 'Organic Chemistry' or the 'Function and Development of Organisms' through ISI Florence's new Biology-Chemistry track. Take your education beyond the classroom with trips (for example) to Florence's famous La Specola Collection, an anatomical exhibit & the oldest public museum in Europe.
