Kia ora, welcome to the University of Waikato!
The Marine Science for Conservation Short Programme is your gateway to an unforgettable marine science adventure! This 6-week experience based in the stunning coastal city of Tauranga offers you the opportunity to explore New Zealand's rich marine ecosystems through a mix of classroom learning, lab sessions, and hands-on fieldwork.
You'll earn 30 Waikato points (15 ECTS) while studying topics like ocean biodiversity, conservation challenges and the cultural significance on the marine environment in New Zealand. Students will stay in beachfront accommodation right on the doorstep of Mount Maunganui, one of New Zealand's most iconic and beloved beaches. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty and culture of New Zealand, all while advancing your studies in one of the worlds most unique coastal settings!
