Great experience with great people!

Camp Adventure helps you to get the best of both worlds:

A) Supervising a group of kids/teenagers and taking part in activities with them

B)Making new friends from all over the world

What I adore so much about camp adventure is that you get to know children and teenagers from all over the world which you help to foster new skills, competencies or offer an insight into new experiences. Hence, living and working at camp provided you with a special environment too where you can reflect upon your strengths and weaknesses.

What was the most nerve-racking moment and how did you overcome it?
Surviving London without my phone getting snatched away —FYI all of the children’s phones survived as well.
Pros
  • Cultural Exchange
  • Experiences in Teaching
  • Teamwork
Cons
  • Long days of working
  • Hectic
  • Can become chaotic

Yes, I recommend this program

One of the best experiences that I have ever had.

If you are not afraid of long hours and camping conditions then you would love working with camp adventure/europe. Its a truly rewarding experience and i have already decided to go back next year. The staff and other volenteer are awesome and the atmosphere is amazing. I loved every second of it even the lack of technology and shower time. Its all worth it for the rustic camp feel if you are in those places. Or if you are in the nicer indoor accomodation camps then you get the awesome pumped up feelling of camp with the convieniences of home.

What would you improve about this program?
Better pay and less hour but its still worth it.

Questions & Answers

Hello. Thank you for your question. It depends on many factors, but in general terms: - Camps in Canada - You would be making around $700 - $900/month (average). - Camps in Europe - About $500/month for the 1st year. returnees - $1,000/month. But again, many factors such as season, experience, profile, program, camp location, etc may affect upwards the monthly stipend.
