About Program
The J-1 Teacher Program allows qualified international educators to teach full-time in accredited public and private U.S. primary and secondary schools (K-12) for up to three years. The program’s objective is to help exchange teachers sharpen their professional skills and participate in meaningful cross-cultural activities within schools and communities. Participants return home after completing the program.
Note: This program cannot be used as a substitute for ordinary employment or work purposes, nor displace American workers.
