The Trinity CertTESOL is an excellent, internationally-recognised TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) qualification providing very solid and thorough teacher training for those with little or no prior teaching experience. It is widely accepted by language schools worldwide as a suitable qualification for teaching English.
The course is open to native and non-native speakers of English. It is a very practical course, centred around observed and assessed teaching practice to real learners of English. This is supported by seminar-style input sessions and workshops where trainees learn about teaching skills and techniques, language awareness, how to create and use teaching materials, and have several sessions studying an unknown foreign language. Trainees also study and practise planning and teaching one-to-one lessons via a profile of an individual learner.
