This wonderful program’s aim is to simply provide care to animals in need. The Sanctuary was founded in 2010 by a local mother and daughter team, who were driven by the ill treatment of animals in their own country. Over time the shelter has grown from strength to strength and combined with the assistance from international volunteers, they now care for approximately 150 rescued animals, including pigs, goats, rabbits, cows, horses, cats, dogs, ducks, guinea pigs, chickens and parrots.

Every day on this program, professionals and volunteers alike give technical and educational assistance to hundreds of Argentine children and their families. Approximately 3,500 unprivileged children have benefitted from the efforts of this program, which has in turn provided them with an opportunity to have a better quality of life and the possibility to enjoy social inclusion.

This wonderful community development program currently works on three key projects:
Ciudad Oculta- support approximately 750 children, offers school supplies and volunteer tutors.
Water for Perutí- improve the health and long term wellbeing of the marginalized indigenous community of Perutí.
Happy Birthday!- provides a monthly birthday party celebration for each community centre.

This important program supports the goal of supplying essential medical treatment in Buenos Aires. Volunteers and interns who join this project are paired with a full-time doctor or nurse who they will shadow on daily rounds. Intern responsibilities vary according to their own qualifications, experience and/or comfort level.
