About Program
Even though elephants have long been considered a sacred cultural icon in Asia, they have unfortunately been severely exploited. They are involved in many ceremonial and religious events, that is not enough to protect them from being poached for their valuable tusks.
On Oct. 16th, 2014, an Asian Elephant was illegally killed for ivory in Xishuangbanna. This means there is still a lot of work to be done in educating the public and empowering the youth on the importance of biodiversity and conservation.
This project aims to help generate nature awareness, introduce the delights of nature, and act positively to protect our animals. Let’s empower ourselves, especially young people, to make a difference where and whenever possible.
